If there’s one thing that the Grammy Awards is known for, it’s the red carpet arrivals. Unlike the other awards shows, musicians and celebrities are not afraid to go over the top when it comes to their outfit, makeup, and hair style at the Grammys, which makes it one of the most highly anticipated shows by hairdressers and salon owners. It’s a great place to find inspiration and stay current on the latest trends.

Hailee Steinfeld
COLOR
For clients with long hair, keep it simple. Use O&M CØR.color 4.0 Brown and O&M CØR.color 0.00 Clear with O&M CØR.color 5 vol Semi Activator from roots to ends to create a super shiny and glass-like reflection on her dark hair. Then, use the O&M Seven Day Miracle Moisture Masque to add extra moisture and settle any fly away hair.
STYLE
Start with O&M Know Knott Detangling Spray to add a kick of argan oil to the hair while removing 80% of the moisture. Then layer O&M Atonic Hair Thickening Spritz throughout the hair and dry fully using a large round brush to smooth (but not straighten). You would want to use the hair’s natural texture. Create a soft wave by using the O&M Atonic Hair Thickening Spritz to nourish the hair while removing the moisture. Then, place a mix of O&M Rootalicious Root Lift Spray and O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum in the hair. Round brush the hair in small sections and place it in rollers to cool down and keep the wave. Use small sections and make sure your tension is consistent. Start with a base color of O&M CØR.color 6.8 Dark Pearl Blonde using O&M CØR.color 20 vol Activator to lighten the hair without creating warmth. Next, add a few face-framing foils using O&M Ammonia Free Pearl White Powder Lightener with O&M CØR.color 10 vol Activator (lift on lift to prevent toning). A clear gloss in O&M CØR.color 0.00 Clear will seal color and coat the hair to increase the size of each hair with more shine and added thickness.

Start by applying O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum into damp hair and using a large flat brush to smooth out the hair. Once dry, spray with O&M Atonic Hair Thickening Spritz which will act as a heat protectant while you add texture with a curling iron. Pull the hair to the nape, allowing the hair to fall softly onto the face around the cheek bone. Twist and secure hair at nape in a soft ballerina bun. Bobby and fringe pins are ideal.

It’s all about the warm-toned blondes for Kristin Cavallari. To achieve this rich warm blonde, use Oway Hbleach Butter Cream Lightener with Oway Hcatalyst 30 Volume Cream Developer to create a heavy highlight along with a lowlight throughout with Oway Hcolor 7.31 Beige Blonde and Oway Htone 9 Volume Cream Developer. Add babylights around the face with Htone brighten and frame the face.
STYLE
To replicate Kristin Cavallari’s red carpet Grammy look, do a voluminous blow out with an extra-large round brush and a cocktail of Oway Flux Potion with Oway Glossy Nectar on her ends to cut blow drying time and add shine. After blowdrying each section, pin up the hair until it cools to maintain and set the curl for a waved ponytail. After all cooled, comb the hair with a soft-bristled brush using Oway Glamshine Cloud to control fly-aways. Then, pull the hair up to create a high pony.
Next, take a small section of hair underneath the pony and wrap around the base to cover the elastic. Secure with a pin. Finish with Oway Sculpting Mist for hold and a final spritz of Glamshine Cloud for shine and control.
Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga came to the Grammy’s with a bright elegant style. To recreate her look, use Oway Hbleach Butter Cream Lightener and Oway Hcatalyst 40 Volume Cream Developer on scalp to achieve the lift and brightness. Freshen ends with Hbleach and Oway Htone 9 Volume Cream Developer. After lightening the hair to desired level, do an Oway Hmilk No Stress Conditioning Treatment to adjust the hair’s porosity and prep hair for toning. Finally, tone with Oway Hcolor 10.1 Ash Extra Light Blonde and Htone to neutralize any warmth.
STYLE
Prep the hair with Oway Volumizing Root Spray to give volume and hold prior to drying. Then, apply Oway Smoothing Fluid to add softness without weight while protecting the hair during the drying stage.
Next, part the hair down the middle, taking a section of hair near the hairline on both sides. Create a fishtail braid on either side, securing them with an elastic tie once finished braiding. Then, take a black a string and weave through the braids to create a corset-like pattern. Using the remaining section of hair underneath, do another fishtail braid and tuck the woven braids into it to merge them together.
