2020 Fall Hair Color Formulas
Spooky season is upon us! Clients are sure to want to transition from bright and vibrant summer shades to cooler, more ashy tones that are classic fall hair color formulas.
But don’t do the same old boring thing! In our Formula Friday this week, find fun fall hair color formulas using low-tox and ammonia-free Oway and Original & Mineral color. From copper to lilac and with caramel ribbons in between, there is a tone every client will love.

A fall classic, brunette, is transformed with a super rich brown color and lightened ends. We love this innovative take on a brunette tone. To create a fun mocha tone with O&M CØR.color, try the fall hair color formula below.
I balayaged with O&M Paint Powder Clay Lightener (and a little O&M Ammonia-Free Keratin Blue Powder Lightener mixed in) and O&M CØR.color 30 vol Activator and a couple drops of O&M CØR.color 40 vol Activator! She had previous black box dye so had an uneven canvas and toned with O&M CØR.color 5.0 Light Brown!
What is more fall than pumpkin spice? This classic fall hair color formula keeps things bright with beautiful light ribbons mixed in with a classic pumpkin tone. For the clients who can’t get enough PSL’s this season, give this formula a try.

Perfect Fall Blonde
A bright blonde with a melted root makes for the perfect fall hair color formula. Keep clients light while incorporating the season with the O&M formula below.
I used O&M!
Her hair was a grown-out balayage, and she was wanting more brightness throughout. So I transitioned her over with a foilyage and baby lights! + a little wet balayage.
I then root shadowed her with O&M CØR.color 8.0 Light Blonde + O&M CØR.color 8.3 Light Golden Blonde & melted O&M CØR.color 10.0 Lightest Blonde & O&M CØR.color 10.3 Lightest Golden Blonde through her ends. For 20 minutes.

Classic Fall Copper
Be bold with this fiery copper red tone perfect for the season. For a bold client that can rock a copper tone, try the fall hair color formula below.
I used Oway for this color. She had grown out level 8 highlights from another stylist.
I mixed 15g Oway Hcolor 5.6 Red Light Brown, 15g Oway Hcolor 6.66 Deep Red Dark Blonde, and 1g Oway Hcolor 6.4 Coppery Dark Blonde and 32g Oway Htone 9 Volume Cream Developer for the new growth. I mixed 30g Oway Hcolor 5.6 Red Light Brown, 30g Oway Hcolor 6.66 Deep Red Dark Blonde, and 3g Oway Hcolor 8.4 Coppery Light Blonde with 63g Oway Htone 9 Volume Cream Developer for mid and ends.
I applied new growth color first, then immediately went back through and applied mid/end formula. Let process for 30 minutes.

I used O&M color.
Started on with 3 inch of regrow the at level 5 and highlighted ended level 8.
1: color melted roots and went in with low light to beak up highlights
2: while that processed I balayage in between the lowlights.
3: rinsed/ shampoo used left over root color and blended the the mid shaft and toner ends
